House Then The Car is a national campaign to educate, empower and mobilize generations of African Americans about building wealth. This movement empowers communities that have GenX, millennials, GenY GenZ's on the value of owning property as a generational wealth-building tool. House Then The Car speaks specifically to the African American community and offers real-life housing and financing options and solutions.

Meet the Founder of House Then The Car
Donnell Williams, broker of record and owner of Destiny Realty, headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey with a branch office in Newark serves as the President of House Then The Car and the Black Real Estate Professionals Alliance (BREPA). Destiny Realty is one of the largest African-American independently owned real estate brokerages in the State of New Jersey.
A long-time advocate for Black real estate investment, Mr. Williams has been actively involved in trade associations and has created many platforms and tools to educate all about the real estate business. Mr. Williams’ leadership skills positioned him well in various organizations including but not limited to the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, New Jersey Association of Minority Real Estate Professionals, the Most Worshipful Oriental Grand Lodge and the Morris County Black Caucus. Mr. Williams has and continues to encourage professional development and increased knowledge and creativity in the industry. Mr. Williams is the founder, creator and holds the trademark to House Then The Car, a program that is getting massive attention across the country
Donnell holds membership on the Board of Adjustments for Morris Township, the North Central Jersey Association of Realtors and the New Jersey Association of Realtors. Additionally, Mr. Williams, a real estate licensee since 1992 and licensed broker since 2001 and has created and founded multiple initiatives and organizations; House Then The Car, The Impact Campaign, the Black Brokers Network, the Voice of Black Real Estate Podcast and more. He currently serves as a broker of record for Destiny Realty and President of the Black Real Estate Professionals Foundation.
Donnell’s community and civic involvements include active membership as Grand Master of Most Worshipful Oriental Grand Lodge, a past member of Morris County Minority Concerns Advisory Committee, and an NAACP Silver Level Lifetime member.
